Biography:
Peter M. Cowper joined McKinney, Wainwright & Saul-Olson in 1993 and practices in the following areas of law: Personal Injury; Aviation and Aerospace; Trusts and Estates; Probate; Business Law; Construction Law; Real Estate.
Mr. Cowper’s background includes working for Union Oil Company of California in marketing and distribution following completion of his undergraduate degree in Business Administration at Humboldt State University in 1971, until he left to attend law school in 1984.
He was admitted to the California Bar after earning his Juris Doctorate at San Joaquin College of Law in 1988 and worked as a Deputy District Attorney in the Tulare County District Attorney's Office before entering private practice. Since, 1995, Mr. Cowper has served as a Judge Pro Tem for the Tulare County Superior Court.
He is a member of the Tulare County Bar Association where he serves on the Law Library Advisory Committee, the Consumer Attorneys of California and the Central California Trial Lawyers Association. Since 1997, Mr. Cowper has also been an active member of the Lawyer-Pilots Bar Association.
He is a licensed pilot and experimental aircraft builder, serving as Vice-President of the local chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) chapter.
